My name is David Ochoa
As the founder and CEO of NOBL, I am passionate about making a difference in the coffee industry. With seven years of experience in various roles, including director of sales, marketing, quality assurance specialist, and roaster, I have gained invaluable insight into the intricacies of the supply chain. My recent decision to work directly with coffee producers stems from my sourcing trips, where I witnessed firsthand the challenges and hardships faced by farmers.

My Story
My grandmother recently passed away and as I reflect on her life and the many sacrifices she made, I am struck by the similarities between her experiences and those of coffee farmers. My grandmother was born into poverty in Mexico and as a widowed mother of five, had to toil tirelessly to support her family. She worked as a farmer on lands that did not belong to her, earning only a meager fraction of what was made during harvest season. She faced predatory practices from landowners and struggled to make ends meet. Just like my grandmother coffee farmers often face extreme poverty and exploitation. This predatory system is rampant within the coffee industry, from importers and cooperatives to loan sharks who prey on their desperation.
NOBL is more than just a business venture for me. It's a way to honor my grandmother's legacy and the sacrifices she made for her family. I see her resilience and determination mirrored in the farmers I work with, and I am inspired to do everything in my power to support them.

We want to create an ecosystem that puts the well-being of farmers and their families at the center of everything we do. By connecting farmers with buyers, they’ll get a TRULY FAIR PRICE for their hard labor. We want to empower them to remain on their land and keep producing high-quality coffee that we all enjoy.
